Dear WHF members,
Subject to sufficient entries F25 will be included in the 2008 World Championships in Sweden.
It was not clear from their original bid but the Swedish organization for the 2008 WHC has confirmed that they are planning to include F25 in their program. However, it should be remembered that for a formula to qualify as a World Championship (that is be included at an event) there must be at least 8 competitors registered with the organizers by their declared final registration date. If less than 8 competitors actually arrive at the event it is possible that the formula will be run at the same time as another formula. This applies to all formulae – in particular F3.
This is in line with the policy adopted by the WHF at its last Board meeting and is covered by minute 06.06 reproduced below.
06.06 Minimum numbers competing in a Formulae
At the Wednesday pre-meeting it was decided that:
For a formula to qualify as a World Championship there must be at least 8 competitors at the final registration date.
This Governing Board added the following - “When less than 8 competitors in a formula arrive at the event it may be possible that 2 formulae are run concurrently (at the same time). This will be by agreement between the Organizers and the WHF”. This was adopted by this meeting.

The WHF is very pleased to announce that Sweden has just received the final confirmation that they may hold our World Hovercraft Championships in 2008. Further detailed information appears later in this Bulletin.

 If you think you’ve got cool gear, check this out. Rudy Heeman of Hira, New Zealand spent 800 hours spread over 11 years plus thousands of dollars to build a hovercraft thing with a hull, wings, a Subaru car engine and lots of sticky tape adhesive.
On it’s maiden voyage cruise flight, the vehicel clocked an impressive 98 kph at an altitude of 1.5 metres above lake level. (It’s not entirely certain whether those parameters were intentional or a complete surprise.)

We are very proud to announce that BUFO was the fastest hovercraft on the meeting.
With Formula 2 pilot Renato Preotto on board, BUFO hovercraft beat competition of 6 racing hovercrafts (same sized hovercraft, same engine powered) in 3 laps timming.

Considering BUFO setup was not adjusted for the race, but for recreational ride, result is just fantastic, and proves, BUFO is ''hell of a craft''

MAD & BUFO hovercraft company from Slovenia - EUROPE relised new hovercraft model on market this year, and named it BUFO Hovercraft (giant toad).
It is two person high performance hovercraft available as 2 person hovercraft or as 3 person hovercraft.  .JPG)
Bufo was already tested by Hovercraft Formula 2 racer Renato Presotto from Italy, who was impressed on performance of BUFOcraft after testing our hovercraft out on field.
